This program aim to provide an in-depth understanding for coaches and personal trainers the power and purpose of free weights training for everything from weight loss to athletics to competitive bodybuilding.

本課程的目標是令教練更深入了解自由重量訓練(free weights training),從而滿足不同客戶(從瘦身到運動員,甚或健美運動員)的訓練需要。

Course outline:

1. Biomechanics and mechanism of weight training
2. The principles of free weight training mechanics (such as calculating joint forces)
3. Mechanics of barbell and dumbbell mechanics
4. Common anatomical idiosyncrasies and variations
5. Basic orthopaedic assessment for joint health and integrity
6. Movement patterns including functional integration and functional isolation
7. Strategic resistance application options and their effects via the tolerances of the associated structures
8. Body alignment for free weight training (squat, deadlift, chest press etc)
9. Resisted range of motion progression, regression, and teaching strategies
